Privacy Policy

YouTube Toolkit (Pro) is a Chrome extension designed to summarize YouTube transcripts with AI models (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Grok, Perplexity). The extension is built with privacy in mind — we do not sell personal information.

• Authentication data (via Supabase): when you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile info (from Google), which we store in our database to create/manage your account.
• Subscription & billing metadata (via Stripe): customer ID, active plan/price, status, current period end, and related billing events. We donot receive or store full card numbers; Stripe processes payment details.
• Usage counters: a daily summary quota counter (e.g., how many summaries you’ve used today) to enforce free/paid limits.
• Extension content processed: YouTube video transcripts you choose to summarize are sent to our backend for summary generation. We do not process your full browsing history.
• Local preferences: some settings are saved locally in your browser (e.g., UI preferences).

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of personal data.

• Summarization: transcripts are sent securely to our backend service (https://cloud-ten-murex.vercel.app) to generate summaries using AI model providers.
• Return YouTube Dislike: dislike counts are retrieved from the Return YouTube Dislike API to display in the UI.
• Account & subscription: your email and profile are managed with Supabase; subscription status and invoices are managed with Stripe.
• Rate-limits/quotas: we track usage totals to apply plan limits.

Yes. The extension connects to remote servers to process transcripts and retrieve AI-powered summaries. Only the transcript text you choose to summarize is sent. We do not sell personal information.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe stores customer and payment instrument data securely.
• We store billing metadata only (e.g., Stripe customer ID, price, status, current period end) to enable/disable Pro features.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime through Stripe’s customer portal.

• Supabase – authentication (Google OAuth) and database storage of profiles/usage.
• Stripe – payments, invoices, subscription status, customer portal.
• Return YouTube Dislike API – dislike counts for videos.
• AI Model Providers – may include OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), xAI (Grok), and Perplexity for generating summaries.

• Account & billing metadata: retained while your account is active and as required for tax/audit purposes.
• Usage counters: reset daily; historical quota totals may be kept for abuse prevention and troubleshooting.
• Transcripts: processed to generate summaries; we do not store full transcripts longer than needed to produce a response.

• Sign out or switch Google accounts at any time.
• Cancel your subscription at any time via the billing portal.
• Request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by emailing dankam0001@gmail.com.

We use HTTPS for data in transit and rely on vendors (Supabase, Stripe, model providers) that maintain strong security controls. No system is perfectly secure; notify us of any concerns at dankam0001@gmail.com.

The service is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us to delete it.

We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a new effective date.
